General Electric has been identified as the most trusted in the Lifestory Research 2018 America’s Most Trusted® Kitchen Appliances Study.
The 2018 America’s Most Trusted® Kitchen Appliances Study, is based on 8,212 opinions collected over the course of the prior 12 months in the United States. As the 2018 Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted Kitchen Appliance, General Electric produced the highest score. Brands with an above average trust score were (1) General Electric (2) Kenmore, (3), Whirlpool, and (4) LG.
To identify America’s Most Trusted®, Lifestory Research conducts the most extensive survey in America. People anonymously assess the trust they have in brands they encounter during their active search for specific products. Survey results are compared with peer organizations of like size and complexity and are highly reliable statistically. To be considered, brands needed to receive enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error.
Trust is calculated based on the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score. This score includes three levels of consumer trust: “advocates,” a customer who feels a significant trust toward the brand; “neutrals,” those who have a moderate level of trust in a brand; and “antagonists,” those who do not trust a brand. The rankings are based on the Net Trust Index Quotient Score. For details see the methodology of the study.
