The Lifestory Research 2021 America’s Most Trusted® Retail Bank Brand Study identified Chase as the most trusted brand among people familiar with the bank brand. The America’s Most Trusted® Study is a large-scale survey of consumers in the United States that seeks to identify the brands that people trust the most within their respective industries. The America’s Most Trusted® Study is a proprietary, independent study that measures perceptions of 500+ companies—to determine which brands are viewed by consumers as of today’s trusted brands. The Net Trust Quotient Score—created by Lifestory Research—is an objective ranking that identifies the brands most successful in putting their customers first and earning their trust.

Chase captured a Net Trust Quotient Score of 84.3 and the 5 Star Trust Rating among the banks in the study.  What are the best banks? The most trusted retail bank brands in the 2021 study found that the same top 3 banks ranked in the same order as those in the 2020 America’s Most Trusted® Study.  The top 15 ranked banks included the most popular and best know banks in the study.

The Lifestory Research 2021 America’s Most Trusted® Retail Bank Brand study examines trust among people familiar with retail bank brands. The 2021 ranking is based on 17,670 people over the past 12 months of the study that surveyed people between January and December in the United States.  See the table for trust scores and the most trusted ratings of the most popular retail bank brands included in the 2021 study. 

The Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted® Study explores shopper perceptions and examines how each shopping event and brand encounter impacts customers’ overall value. The study investigates the questions asked by shoppers – Who is the best? Which is recommended the most? The study also identifies critical service standards that drive higher customer experiences and the bottom line.  The study addresses reviews and summarizes net promoter, quality reviews, purchase intent, as well as a variety of other metrics.

The banks included in the study were the 15 most recognized retail banks in the United States and included Chase, Capital One Bank, Citibank, Bank of America, U S  Bank, Union Bank, SunTrust, Bank of the West, Citizens Bank, Barclay's, PNC Bank, Ally Bank, TD Bank, HSBC, and Wells Fargo.

The Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score measures trust people hold in brands in different product categories, including smart thermostat brands.  The trust score is computed from thousands of people conveying the merits of the brands in the study.  Scores are standardized across more than 500 brands and product segments included in the study and then rank-ordered within each product segment.
