This research reveals how the brand name impacts customer reviews of the many popular carpet brands offered in residential flooring.

This year, in the Lifestory Research 2021 America’s Most Trusted® Carpet Brand Study, Stainmaster carpet is the most trusted carpet flooring brand. Stainmaster received the best reviews and trust ratings among the most popular carpet flooring brands as judged by consumers. As the 2021 Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted® Carpet brand, Stainmaster generated a Net Trust Quotient Score of 116.5 and earned the 5 Star Trust Rating among people actively shopping carpet for their home.

Which carpet brand can you trust?

The annual study examines trust among customers actively shopping for carpet for their residential home. The 2021 ranking is based on 7,813 opinions of people surveyed between January and December in the United States. The trust score is calculated based on how thousands of people judge the merits of more than 500 brands and product segments. In the final ranking, brands were nationally recognized with enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 2% margin of error. If a brand had a low brand awareness and did not have enough brand judgments, they are not included in the brand rankings. Which carpet brands do people recommend?

The Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted® Carpet Study explores shopper perceptions of carpet brands and examines how each shopping event and brand encounter impacts customers’ overall value perceptions of the carpet brand. The study also identifies critical service standards that drive higher customer experiences and the bottom line. The study examines carpet shopper reviews and summarizes net promoter, carpet quality reviews, purchase intent, and the carpet brands people most recommend. The carpet brands most recognized in the study were Stainmaster, Anderson Tuftex, Karastan, Mohawk, Dupont, Armstrong, Dream Weaver, Mannington, and Shaw. Brand awareness and brand familiarity determine if a carpet brand is in the national trust ranking. Stainmaster received the highest Net Trust Quotient score and earned the #1 ranking of most trusted carpet brands. This is the second year in a row in which Stainmaster has earned the top-ranked brand in the Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted Carpet Brand Study.
