The 2024 America’s Most Trusted Study
Originating over a decade ago, the America’s Most Trusted® study was launched to provide brands with vital insights into the critical role of trust in consumer purchasing decisions. Astute brands grasp that consumer trust significantly influences business performance. This study has evolved into the definitive yardstick for assessing brand trust, eagerly anticipated annually, with updated findings revealed in January.
To ensure customers' return or repeat purchases, trust building is necessary. A countertops brand's reputation is determined by customers' confidence in the company's ability to deliver its promises. Consumers who trust a countertop brand are more likely to purchase and recommend it to others. Brand trust also contributes to customer loyalty, as they are more likely to remain loyal to the brand they trust.
The results of the America's Most Trusted® studies are released every year. A total of 75 specific product studies are conducted annually, surveying thousands of consumers about their feelings about different brands and products. This study uses our Net Trust Quotient Score to assess people's trust in specific countertop brands.
Net Trust Quotient Scores (NTQS) are used to determine whether a countertop meets customer expectations compared to competing countertop brands within a specific product category by assessing the level of trust customers hold for a particular brand in a specific product category. With this trust metric for countertops, consumer-driven insights are provided using social and opinion science research practices that adhere to the highest standards of consumer research.

2024 America’s Most Trusted Countertop Brand
The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Countertop Study found Corian to be the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of countertops. Corian ranked highest among the most popular countertop brands with a Net Trust Quotient Score of 104.9. This is the fifth year Corian was rated the most trusted countertop brand in the annual America’s Most Trusted® study.
The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Countertop ranking is based on 2,498 opinions of people surveyed in the United States over the last 12 months. The most trusted countertop brands, in order, were Corian, Cambria, Caesarstone, Silestone, Swanstone, Wilsonart, Staron, and Formica.
Brands included in the final ranking were nationally recognized by people actively shopping for a countertop for their homes.
To be included in the final ranking, brands must have a certain level of brand awareness. Brands with low brand awareness were excluded from the rankings based on the study's criteria. Brands must have received enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error to be included in the final ranking of the study. This confidence level is necessary to ensure that the survey results accurately reflect the opinions of the surveyed population. The sample size must also be large enough to ensure the validity of the survey results. Therefore, the study excluded brands that did not meet this condition.
