Annually, Lifestory Research unveils the most recent findings from America's Most Trusted®. Our team conducts over 75 specialized product studies annually, gathering insights from thousands of individuals regarding their perceptions and interactions with various brand products. Within this study, we employ a rigorously validated Net Trust Quotient Score to assess the trust individuals place in specific brands during product selection.

To determine whether a product meets customer expectations compared to competitor brands, the Net Trust Quotient Score (NTQS) measures customers' trust in a specific brand within a particular product category. This trust metric is designed to provide consumer-driven data insights utilizing social and opinion science research practices that adhere to the highest quality consumer research standards.

What are the top home insurance companies people trust the most? The America's Most Trusted Study rated the top home insurance brands. The study aims to identify the most trustworthy home insurance brands by asking consumers to rate each brand within each category.

The Lifestory Research ratings, reviews, and awards are based on detailed survey feedback based on the opinions and trust ratings of those surveyed in the home insurance study. We do not use third-party reviews and ratings, editorial committees, or industry professionals in determining the most trusted home insurance brands. We rely on real people's opinions and rigorous social scientific survey standards to obtain home insurance ratings, including sample sizes designed to reflect the target audience's opinions. All home insurance research findings are exclusively founded on the opinions of people who independently completed the surveys in America's Most Trusted Research program.

2024 America’s Most Trusted Home Insurance Company 

The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Home Insurance Company Study found State Farm to be the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of home insurance. This is the second year State Farm Insurance was rated as the most trusted home insurance company.

The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Home Insurance Company ranking is based on 8,402 opinions of people surveyed in the United States over the last 12 months. State Farm had the highest trust rating among the most popular home insurance companies, with a Net Trust Quotient Score of 105.3.  

The most trusted home insurance companies were State Farm, USAA, Farmers, Allstate, Nationwide, Liberty Mutual, MetLife, Travelers, Progressive, Harford, American Family, Amica, and Chubb. Home insurance carriers included in the study were those that were most well-known to consumers.

Home Insurance brands with inadequate awareness and judgments were excluded from the rankings based on predefined criteria. Inclusion necessitated a significant number of survey responses, resulting in a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error. This rigorous standard ensures that the home insurance ratings are reliable and accurately reflect the opinions of the surveyed population regarding the brands under examination.

The Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted® research study actively surveys home insurance shoppers throughout the year in the United States. The study is focused on measuring consumers' opinions of the most recognized home insurance brands in the market. In the study, consumers rate the quality of the home insurance brand, their likelihood of recommending the home insurance to others, how favorable they feel about the brand behind the home insurance, how they rate the reputation of the home insurance, and their trust in the home insurance brand.

1. State Farm:
   State Farm is an insurance and financial services company based in Bloomington, Illinois. It was founded in 1922 by retired farmer and insurance salesman George J. Mecherle. State Farm is known for providing a wide range of insurance products, including home insurance.
