The 2024 America’s Most Trusted Study
Founded over a decade ago, America's Most Trusted® has sought to aid brands in understanding how shopping decisions are influenced by trust. To be successful, brands must understand precisely how consumer trust impacts business performance. New results are published each year in January, making it a definitive ranking of brand trust.
Developing vacuum brand trust with customers is essential to ensuring they return to a brand. It is based on their confidence that the brand can fulfill its promises. Customers are more likely to purchase or recommend a vacuum brand if they trust it. Brand trust can also build customer loyalty because customers are more likely to remain loyal to a vacuum brand they trust.
Each year, Lifestory Research provides the latest results of America's Most Trusted®. Our team conducts over 75 product studies annually, gathering insights from thousands of individuals regarding their perceptions and experiences with various brand products. Within this study, we employ a rigorously validated Net Trust Quotient Score to assess the trust individuals place in specific brands during product selection.
Net Trust Quotient Scores (NTQS) are used to determine whether a product meets customer expectations compared to competing brands within a specific product category by assessing the level of trust customers hold for a particular brand within a particular product category. With this trust metric, consumer-driven insights are provided using social and opinion science research practices that adhere to the highest standards of consumer research.
What are the top vacuum brands people trust the most? To answer this question, the top vacuum brands were rated in the America’s Most Trusted Study. The study aims to identify the vacuum brands people trust the most by asking them to rate each brand within the product category.
2024 America’s Most Trusted Vacuum
The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Vacuum Study found Dyson to be the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of a vacuum. With the Net Trust Quotient Score of 122.5, Dyson had the highest trust rating among the most popular vacuum brands. This is the sixth year Dyson was rated as the most trusted vacuum brand in the annual study.
The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Vacuum ranking is based on 7,073 opinions of people surveyed in the United States over the last 12 months. Dyson, Shark, Hoover, Bissell, Eureka, Electrolux, Samsung, Oreck, Miele, Kenmore, and Dirt Devil were the most trusted vacuum brands.
If a vacuum brand had low brand awareness and did not have enough brand judgments, they were excluded from the rankings based on the ranking criteria. That is, vacuum brands must have received enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error to be included in the vacuum ranking. This confidence level is necessary to ensure that the vacuum results accurately reflect the opinions of the surveyed population about the brands in the study. The sample size must also be large enough to ensure the validity of the vacuum survey results.
